Because this was going to be the only annular eclipse in San Diego for the next 20,000 years, I had to shoot it. But there was little that could be done with the pictures at the time. Now, thanks to the magic of Photoshop, I was able to combine five images into this one.

•The Egyptian Red Sea: A Diver's Guide, 1988, Watersport Publishing, San Diego, CA

•A comprehensive guide to the Red Sea, including information about land as well as undersea features.

•Diving Pioneers: An Oral History of Diving in America, 1994, Watersport Publishing, San Diego, CA.

  1. Based on interviews with the persons who started diving in this country, this book retraces diving history through their personal experiences from 1930 through the mid 60s.

  2. This book was the inspiration for Bret Gilliam’s “Diving Pioneers and Innovators.”  I wrote the chapter on Chuck Nicklin in that book.

•Eric's films have been selected for showing at San Diego Undersea Film Festivals 16 years in a row.  They include: Cuba, San Diego Diving Pioneers, Adventures Close to Home, P-38, Manta Melody, New Zealand, Kona Symbiosis, If you Chase Them They Will Run, Tropical Alaska, Viva Cuba, More than Mantas, and Humpback Whales.
